BUICE

Buice (pronounced “bice”) is made up of members based in Atlanta and Athens: Hayden
Locke on vocals and bass, Jack Pace on guitar and vocals, Josh Rubin on guitar, and
Robert Lloyd on drums. These four musicians have been together since January 2023 and
found each other through mutual appreciation of their work with other bands. They describe
their sound as “Freakcore” (“more of a scene and less of a genre”), drunk carousel music, or
“insane crazy Scooby- Doo music.” Inspiration for their music style comes from genres like
math rock and noise rock, and bands such as 15,000 Guns, King Crimson and Black Midi.
While they currently perform in smaller venues in the metro-Atlanta area and Athens, their
goal is to “blow up” with a one hit wonder (or Tik Tok dance to their music). In the meantime,
they enjoy being in each other's company: the human connection fuels their songwriting and
performing. They enjoy the freedom to put their own personal touches on their music and
see each other succeed. Look out for their new LP One Day You’ll See The Sun out on
December 1st!
